About the project
After the cyberattack in August 2022 the administrative module of the previous open data portal could not be recovered. UNDP commissioned a new portal, implemented in the Ministry of Public Administration environment and in production since December 2024.
The portal is built on CKAN 2.11 with a PostgreSQL/PostGIS database and Solr search. Legacy content and metadata were migrated with quality checks, six user roles from public user to system administrator were introduced, along with publishing and moderation workflows, three language variants (Montenegrin Latin and Cyrillic, English), a REST API, harvesting and DCAT interoperability for data exchange.
MapSoft led the project, built the web application and designed the database, while B-ONE was responsible for system architecture, DevOps and UI/UX. Technical and user documentation, training for system and organisation administrators and 12 months of post-launch support were delivered.
